Day 35: Embrace Your Enoughness

In today’s step, you’ll discover the biggest secret to embracing change in the longer term, not just when you have tools like this to support you.

You’ve gathered all you need to manage the things you can control and accept the things you can’t, so today you get to consolidate your journey, with this final powerful step.

Step Six is Embrace Your Enoughness. Let’s begin by exploring why this step is so vital.

Do you find yourself completely exhausted some days, because despite the fact you’re running on empty, you’ve kept going, full-steam anyway?

Do you push through, even when you need to stop, because you’ve no idea how to explain or honour how tired life makes you feel?

It doesn’t make sense does it? But it’s not your fault.

Your DNA carries the energy of survival, nurturing and the need to prove your worth, so you earn your place in your community.

You’ve been brought up to equate worth with being busy, so you work hard and avoid play until the work’s done. The trouble is, the work’s never done. Because you’ll always find more… even though your body’s telling you to slow down.

The modern world is set up to celebrate achievement and success. Not to celebrate pressing pause.

When you’re going through menopause and your productivity takes a hit, it’s not surprising you feel guilty or not good enough. That’s the world you live in.

You’re doing the best you can with the knowledge you have, so let go of any sense you’re failing. Instead, discover a more empowered way to navigate this time, by pondering the following misconception.

You Forget You Are Enough.

You’re faced with constant comparisons, coming at you from all angles. Our consumer culture thrives on you having self-esteem and self-worth issues, so you buy solutions and contribute to the economy. Ads imply you’re flawed, or you can get better; the subtext being, you’re not good enough already.

It’s exceedingly rare to hear the words ‘you’re enough as you are’.

So you get so used to filling yourself up with busyness and external stuff to shut out feelings of lack, you leave no time for the inner contemplation that would help you remember your unique magic.

Let’s put a stop to that today.

How you treat yourself is how you’re silently asking the world to treat you. Which is why it changes your life when you start esteeming yourself, rather than berating yourself.

In order to stop criticising yourself for how you’re navigating your journey, the first step to embracing your enoughness is to accept your inherent worth.

You’re a once in a lifetime miracle. There will never be another you.

You’re as unique as a fingerprint. As nuanced as nature. And as incredible as the stars in the sky.

Your value isn’t measured by accolades, achievements or reproductive status. You have limitless potential and no need to prove or justify yourself to anyone.

The truth is, you have few flaws unless you perceive them with warped eyes. You don’t have inabilities, you have skills you have yet to learn. There are no failures, only experiments and lessons.

You’re here once. What makes you who you are, is what others love about you.

By all means, strive to be the best version of you, endeavour to learn, grow, and evolve. Honour your ancestors and yourself by reaching your potential; but don’t hold yourself to impossible standards, or let your inner critic beat you up because you mess up sometimes.

Embrace the fact you deserve to be here, to stand up tall and take your place. Your worth is inherent by the fact you exist. It always was and always will be.

Hold yourself in esteem and you’ll never have to push or strive again. You’ll also find it incredibly easy to honour yourself and your commitments.

All you need now is a simple focus to support you, so you can start embracing your enoughness.

Today’s Focus is Your Self-Worth Booster.

Take a moment to rate your current level of self-worth out of ten.

Let go of any judgement about your immediate answer. Trust what pops into your head and thank it for showing itself to you.

The answer contains valuable information. Whatever your number, take a breath in and out so you can pause….

Then ask yourself: ‘Why didn’t I pick a lower number’? If your number was zero, ask yourself what you can do to take it to one.

Allow yourself to freely think or write answers that come up in response to this question.

Looking at your answers will reveal some positive statements you feel are true.

Resolve now to start each day with a short, positive statement about yourself from the answers your brain gave you.

An example could be: “I’m kind to other people”.

You can add this short statement to your gratitude statement from step five, so this becomes an easy habit.

For your final step…

Set a date after listening to this session to revisit the Self-Worth Booster in six weeks from now.

When six weeks comes around, rate your self-worth level again. As before, note your answer and ask your brain why the answer wasn’t lower.

If you repeat this every 6 weeks, you’ll be astonished how the number increases. Along with it, so will your sense of enoughness and inherent worth.

Not because your Ego is running rampant; but because you know, deep in your gut, that you’re worthy, with a lot still to offer the world.
