7 days ago, we challenged ourselves to dedicate some time each day to taking care of our mental wellness. We’ve been overwhelmed with the response from the Caria Community. Whether we knew it or not, so many of us have needed the motivation and support to take this step, and we’re thrilled at how many of you stepped up to the challenge.
Regardless of whether you did 7 days, 3 days, or even 1 day, take the time today to thank yourself for taking care of you. Even simple acts of kindness to yourself can be incredibly hard when we’re stretched in every direction with responsibilities and worries. But you’re doing the hard work to take care of your wellbeing, so take a minute to thank yourself for that before you embark on your next challenge – coming soon!

I loved this. I did all of them although it took me longer. But now I dip in and out at least once a day. I am also loving the sound scapes. Especially the sea! Thank you so much!

I’m single, and live alone. I’m really proud of myself for dealing with this quarantine/pandemic on my own. It reminds me of how strong I really am. Yay me!

I live alone too, Michelle. I’m proud of you too! In some ways I am grateful I don’t have some of the challenges of living with others right now, especially during what has turned out to be a very difficult menopause. Like for everyone, these times are so much about calling upon and cultivating our inner strength and finding the ground beneath our feet, but doing it solo is a whole different game. I am grateful for my resilience, too, and have learned to be even more caring with myself on the days when resilience feels like it’s short in supply, which have been many. I’ve turned to Nature, as best I can with this hottest summer on record and all of the fires burning here in California. It’s the small moments like watering my plants, journaling, treating myself to a new candle or flowers, or something small but lovely once a week, and turning up the music while cooking (and dancing to it) that help. And checking in with my self on the daily. If you don’t mind, I would like to put your quote on my refrigerator, “I’m really proud of how I’m dealing with this quarantine/pandemic on my own. It reminds me how strong I really am.” It’s perfect. Sending you warmth from another “soloist.”
