Red Clover

Red Clover Extract refers to any extract that is taken from the red clover plant. When looking at research on red clover and menopausal symptoms, there are indeed benefits in isolated studies relative to placebo, but there are also some failures. This indicates that supplementation with red clover may be unreliable in benefitting symptoms; this could be due to differences in absorption or simply due to the nature of existing research studies. There may be a minor reduction in anxiety however, which would be a percievable benefit and needs to be further evaluated.

How effective has red clover been for relieving your symptoms?

Friends suggested this one to me. I did not find it helpful at all.

Have been using red clover for years - it’s been very successful in keeping hot flushes and night sweats under control.
