Hi! For me what works was: 1. I found the moment, in the right place with enough time. 2. I connected with my husband and began to talk from the very dephs from my heart. 3. I laid bare my thoughts and my feelings. I tried to be objective and at the same time express how I felt. 4. I found a scientific publication that explained the perimenopause sympthoms and I began to cry while I was reading from him (I had a hard crisis with signs of fibromyalgia with acute body stiffness). I hope you find loving listening!!!! Sincerely, Nina

It’s been hard as most don’t understand or tell me there is nothing I can do about it. I don’t really have support anywhere

I visited my health professional and was told that my symptoms were all as a result of the peri menopause and referred me to a pain clinic after a bad accident last year

I haven’t been able to talk to anyone, my mother thinks medicine… my kids, I don’t know, they care not to know. To them, it’s more to have to put up with. I have multiple sclerosis, I’ve had 7 pneumothorax’s. Cancer, Sepsis, cracked hip, that has all resorted to not being able to walk. I’m not using the wheelchair anymore but I’ve progressed to a walker.

Do you have access to functional menopause treatment?

I started by doing research and getting a good idea of what all my symptoms could possibly be and then sat down with those closest to me and discuss some of the possible things that could take place over the next few years.

I have no partner, menopausal, and my friends believe a lot of the misinformation about peri and meno. I get overwhelmed from my symptoms and not having much support besides doctors is hard. I have a therapist but some days I’ve thought about ending my life. What has stopped me every time is my cats and a few family members.
