Ginseng is an herbal supplement that has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine. A few studies have found evidence that the different types of ginseng might help improve quality of life during menopause. Ginseng has been shown to boost mood and improve sleep. But so far, studies haven’t found that ginseng helps with physical symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes.

I’ve been taking Korean ginseng extract for over two years. My HRT was stopped when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was prescribed antidepressants to help with my wicked mood. The antidepressants caused facial tics so I needed an alternative. I bought some strong stuff on a visit to Korea and haven’t looked back. It really works to keep my mood up. I’d definitely recommend it.
