Benefits of health tracking?

Hi all, I’m new to this app and just started tracking my symptoms. I’ve been struggling lately and desperately looking for things that might help. Curious if others have found symptom logging helpful in terms of identifying triggers, patterns, or basically having a positive impact?

Hi Laurie. I’m new to the app too but think tracking is really helpful. I have also just started transdermal HRT. Don’t know if you are on Instagram but dr Newson is really excellent and she has a website with various podcasts on menopause. I live in Scotland and Dr Newson is uk based. I hope your symptoms ease. Other things that I’m sure you are aware of is to cut out sugar and take exercise. Walk etc. I’m also a recently qualified yoga teacher and about to undertake menopause yoga teacher training. Hopefully helping myself and others manage symptoms. Take care. Lesley. Scotland ???????

Hi! I’m also new to this app and have found it a god send during this lockdown when my symptoms got worse and I couldn’t see my doctor the way I normally would!! I have found tracking helps me see patterns ie if the weather is hot I suffer more from hot flushes. I’m mainly using it so I can inform my doctor/gynaecologist of my symptoms as I can be quite forgetful. I have also found a lot of the forums helpful and I have started making changes to my lifestyle which I’m hoping will help like exercise and eating better! I do wish the app would explain how to do the logs better....does 1 mean small pain/symptoms? Hope this helps!

I am finding helpful to track but I finding this app could be better to navigate. I find particularly helpful to be able to talk to others abs find what their experiences are but I don’t seem to find the ‘old discussions’ after a day on the app. I am particularly struggling with digestive issues such as heartburn and indigestion and by tracking I have found that it seems to flared up days before ovulation and a few days before period starts, though not always been the case. I think is worth recording your symptoms daily so you can see if there is a pattern to them.

Hi Cil! It sounds like you might have an older version of the app installed on your phone. The newer version has a section called "Discuss" where you can find all the new and old discussions. You can update the app by doing to the Caria App Store page: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/caria-menopause-relief/id1477621356 Hope this helps! I’m finding the tracking useful as it gives overall perspective to each day. For example, with hindsight I can see that I was irritable and perhaps suffering mood swings, after waking too early, but over the day, I’d thought that it was other people being deliberately annoying and upsetting me. I find this is helping my relationships at home and work.

I am new to this app. I find most beneficial is the sharing of all our symptoms and anxieties. I am not alone and you ladies all understand. So Thank you x
