I recently started having peri-menopausal symptoms including hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, you name it! I decided to start a regimen of supplements to see if they help, but I'm wondering what products people have tried and to what degree they've helped reduce symptoms? Please help ?

Hi I was having the same symptoms and started taking Menopace plus, Vit E , Vit B12 and Angus Castus. To be honest I have stopped everything now as I was feeling worse. Don’t get me wrong I still experience a lot of the menopausal symptoms and I also have the occasional hot flash in the day and some at night and have looked at what I eat , try to drink decaf coffee and have taken up Couch to 5K as I was getting the typical menopausal belly. At the moment I can manage my symptoms myself as I want to avoid HRT if I can. You have to take what is right for you and sometimes that can be a juggling act. Different products might work for some and not others. Good luck in finding what suits you. ?

I went to the natural products. Since I started taking Maca pills I never felt hot sweats and night sweats. Maybe it can work for you too

I agree — I take Femmenessence (specific maca strain for menopause) and it’s made all the difference. I also take a supplement my acupuncturist prescribed (Seven Forests Restore) that has helped a lot with dry eye. I’m planning to restart a magnesium supplement (ReMag) because I’ve been hearing more about how this can help with sleep & muscle issues. — Bren

Are you on HRT yet? If not, i highly suggest you to start. It helped me with osteoarthritis and the unbearable pain on my whole body. I do still take my calcium, magnesium, and collagen supplements.

I have discovered comfortcoolingproducts.nl It’s Dutch company that sells “cooling neck ties” which I would describe as handkerchief-type neck coolers with a substance (think thick slime beeds). You can wash them by hand & let them dry. When you are ready to use them, do a quick 5 min soak in cold water & they are ready to tie around your neck and last a REALLY long time. I purchased one because I am trying to managed my hot flashes rather than go back to HRT. they come in all colors patterns - just my 2¢.

I wear a LadyCare magnet on my knickers & it works well. I’m also on different supplements (see below) which are keeping me very well. I cannot go down the HRT route so I researched this & it works well for me. I have a Chillow but don’t use it very often at all. I also wear layers & use large scarves/shawls so I can regulate my own temperature when I leave the house. Thanks for sharing. Is the Angus Cactus in pill format? For simplicity I’ve tried a new brand Savy Wellness Daliy Hero, combines a lot of this stack on your list in one product. Looking to try Maca on top.

I had severe fatigue, hot flashes, night sweats, and weight gain. I began taking Ambren Menopause pills, I began to feel relief within the first week. I also take magnesium and B12. I walk/run every other day as well as cut down on sugar and junk food to help with weight gain. Find what works for you, once you find it, menopause will no longer rule your life. ?

I take Maca, Magnesium Citrate Complex (zinc, D3 etc) and Aswaghanda together with a B vitamin complex. Prior to taking these I was suffering with early waking, anxiety and irritability but I do feel more stable and energised. Hope this helps.

I started making a drink consisting of warm water, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and agave nectar. I drink it before bed and have notice a drastic reduction in night sweats and I’m sleeping a lot better.

I have found cutting out caffeine has stopped my night sweats completely. I would really like to try more diet and nutrition based techniques if anyone can recommend a specific diet to follow please? X

Hello everyone, I’ve been managing peri menopause for 5 years naturally, but am now considering body-identical HRT as the research suggests great results (I’m 46). Has anyone else tried this? (Not bio-identical as this is different to body-identical).

I am taking progesterone and it’s been about a month and I’ve definitely seen the changes. I feel like I have less days where I’m having low energy. I also feel less anxiety and panic which was one of my main symptoms. There are so many studies out there that show the benefits of HRT. Use one of the many telehealth services to have your hormones checked if your GYN isn’t trying to help you.

Why have you decided to change? I’m 47 and started going through this almost two years ago. I am already on HRT. But I feel that I could be much better. But I’m scared to stop because I surely don’t wanna get worse. But if I’m doing this to no avail, I’d prefer to go ahead and try natural ways.

My mum said sage for night sweats. I tried these and a small glass of warm water just before bed. I keep water for when I wake up to rehydrate otherwise I end up with a headache all day. So far. So good

Hi! How do you take the sage? Tablets? Do you have a plant at home? Quantities? I can’t use any products containing hormones because I’ve had two hormone-sensitive breast cancers. xoxo

My favourite are Black Cohosh, Maca Root, Calcium with vitamin D3 and K1 and a high quality multivitamin. I find they work better if you spread them out throughout the day.

Has anyone used anything to reduce swelling to lower legs and ankles? I don’t want to take prescription meds as I prefer natural remedies. Thank you ?

This womanly, hot and cold it would be good if they had herbs to give you instead of medicine sometime or was it more healthy to you then regular pharmacy pills. I would like to know what do you need to take for menopause cause I have menopause really bad. I’ll wake up. My whole clothes is wet and then I’m hot and cold the next day so if you have an answer, please, send it to me

I can’t take hormone ANYTHING because I’ve had 2 breast cancers. wanted to encourage everyone to please take care with how supplements may interact with any medication you’re taking. We often don’t think about this, but as supplements aren’t regulated as medication at least in any country I’ve visited, they can go under the radar and sometimes be counterproductive or even dangerous. Take it from me, I’m unfortunately a walking pharmacy, so I’m especially careful to OK supplements with my PCP so I’m sure there aren’t any interactions. This is especially important when you have to add a new medication, like an antibiotic, to your usual “mix.” If you have your supplements written down as though they were just additional pills for chronic conditions, then your doctor may say, while your on this temporary medication, stop taking X and Y, as they may diminish the effectiveness of the treatment. xox
