For the opportunity to have a lie in. For being able to both go for a run and walk the dogs - I hadn’t realised til lockdown how much being outdoors meant to me.
Terri6 years ago
I am thankful today for A few glasses of port my husband made me very emotionally charged negatively. Sadly that will mean the hard work to loose some weight will be negated

I know how you feel - Sometimes we all need a cheat day to get through rough times. The weight will have to wait ?

It’s horrible when I feel that way too. You are not alone in your journey. I’m thankful to have a bed to sleep in as thousands of homeless people don’t.

Not a good husband day (week for that matter) here either. Too much to even delve into. Had a few beers and a cocktail myself. But, I didn’t negate my walks which is my time. Not his not the kids all mine!!! Getting in my 5+ miles a day; broken up in increments between morning noon and evening. Also, can’t forget my yoga practice that truly keeps me sane

I’m thankful that I have abundant access to necessary hygiene products and a home w/ indoor plumbing, for when I have to change said product every hour or two. It’s heartbreaking that so many women do not have this.

If it wasn’t for my two daughters, I am not sure how I would survive most days. Although I don’t want to be a burden to them. Or feel like I am moaning all the time.

I am grateful for being alone. I need the time and space to heal my soul so having the day to myself helps enormously. I am also grateful for my choir to sing with tonight.

Today I am thankful my partner is coming home after working away for 3 days. Mentally I feel weaker and lose my motivation and control when I’m alone. I sleep even worse and feel tired all day. This results in letting my teenage kids do what they want, for a peaceful life and ordering takeaways to avoid cooking.

I’m thankful for my HUGE family, who I’ve been watching from the sidelines (facebook/insta/twitter/snapchat/pinterest, etc) these last three days. Usually, I’m smack dab in the middle of living life with them, but decided to see them from a new perspective. laughter is one of the best medicines out there!! I really do ❤️my family.

I’m grateful for a roof over our heads, that one of us still has a job right now, enough food to feed ourselves, that we have each other’s support and that of family/friends via video calls and that we’ve been able to donate/help others with what they’ve needed ... as hard as 2020 is/has been for so many reasons, it’s the basic things that help us get through it.

I’m thankful in this moment for a peace of mind. It’s hard to find these days but an article about “accepting” this journey rather than fighting against it makes all the difference. I’m trying to settle into acceptance.
